1), live and on the album. All the following is written as though played in G

Strumming in the verse is generally fast strumming of the bass strings,
quickly damped with the palm of the right hand (there's probably one of those
cute little italian words to describe this), except the D C at the end of each
line which is the full chord. It should be fairly easy to pick up from the
album.
